The Conto has a clean, contemporary presence that should sit comfortably against lighter stone or solid-surface counters. Matte black does come with a practical compromise: dried water and mineral residue become noticeable sooner than on brushed nickel. That means housekeeping matters if the faucet is being used heavily. On the functional side, touchless operation keeps interaction simple and eliminates the need for decorative handles. This would not be my first choice for a low-maintenance utility restroom, but it makes considerably more sense in design-conscious commercial spaces.

After replacing several older sensor faucets, our maintenance requests dropped noticeably. The faucet activates consistently throughout the day, and its dependable operation has allowed our facility team to focus on preventive maintenance instead of unexpected repairs.

No sensor lag

Following several office restroom upgrades where older matte black sensor faucets repeatedly developed coating wear and unstable activation zones, we replaced multiple fixtures with the Rubbed Bronze between 2023 and 2025.The faucet maintained highly dependable infrared responsiveness during continuous daily usage, while the matte black finish resisted fingerprints and surface fading better than previous commercial fixtures. The brass valve assembly also delivered smoother shutoff control with fewer maintenance adjustments.A technical improvement we observed was the consistency of the sensing field near reflective sink surfaces, which significantly reduced false activations compared to earlier matte black touchless systems.
